UK Veg Gardeners

So what worked and what failed for you this year?

I've just posted a review of 2011on my blog.

This year was the best for carrots and parsnips I've ever had.  And the sweetcorn and squash were shocking.

So what were your highlights?  And does your school report have any 'could do betters'?

Happy New Year...forget whats gone and look forward to the future ;)

Me in my tunnel today....oops...last year!

It seems we've got some mixed results in 2011 but the great thing is we've all had successes which always spurs me on to do better next season!

Your Carrots were great for your first attempt at the long variety

Your stumps were also pretty good

Things that worked for me was obviously my Long Carrots

Also my Parsnips, Cabbage and my first attempt at growing celery

Things that didn't work well was my growing of onions

I failed to grow any of my own or maintained any young seedlings purchased

I ended up with a friend bringing them on for me until I could plant them out

Your carrots were the best I've ever seen, incredible for your first attempt.
