Photo Competition Winners

Hi All,

Thanks to everyone who entered the competition. The standard was very high and we saw some beautiful Autumn shots.

But after much deliberation the winners are as follows:

1st prize - Squashes by Carolyn

Carolyn wins a pair of Felco FEL7 Secateurs courtesy of Log Cabins South West

2nd prize - Blueberry Leaf by Mark Willis

Mark wins a copy of The Self Sufficiency Manual by Alison Candlin

3rd prize - Fallen Apples by The Garden Smallholder

The Garden Smallholder wins a Seed Bomb Making kit from the Eden Project

Many thanks! I'm honoured (and amazed) to be a wiiner against such stiff competition. I hope you will run more competitions like this in the future - it inspires us all to greater efforts!

Oh wow! Gosh, totally surprised as there were some truly stunning photos entered so, as Mark said, competition was stiff and I seriously never thought I was in with a chance. Thank you to the judges (Gill and Flighty, I think) and congratulations to Karen (Garden Smallholder) and Mark for their wonderful images. The prize will be much appreciated as I'll be doing lots of fruit pruning in the spring.

Congratulations to all three worthy winners. I think this competition was a good idea to keep people interested in the site at a time when the gardening year is winding down.
