For anyone that has an Aldi store near them there's another special offer of gardening equipment, bulbs, plants, etc starting this Thursday.
I have to take OH into town for a hospital appointment so it's a good excuse for some personal shopping. I'm not sure I really need anything but what the heck, that's what growing your own does to you.
There is quite a lot of stuff actually - some people have already been stocking up on fruit trees (£3.99!!) and I have picked up a couple of polytunnels (£4.99). All sorts of seeds, ph Testers, plants, raised-bed kits, and still plenty of the bird boxes / tables / feeders and so on.
Nothing wrong with finding some bargains!!
Love a good bargain. I will try to get to Aldi tomorrow. My best bargain ever was 2nd of daffodil bulbs for 8p. Didn't need them but couldn't resist.
Salisbury store has just opened, I've been looking on line but trying to resist!!
BTW B&Q have got their veg plants in already, although I'm sure it's too early to be buying 4" long courgette plants, even in South Wilts!!
The chilli plants were tempting though, again 3-4 inches high, and there's some different varieties so it's a good way to experiment with a couple of new types. 78p each though so I normally try to hoover these up at a heavy discount later in the spring.
And Lidl have a gardening offer starting tomorrow aswell. I'll be going to one at lunchtime and the other on the way home. Wooo hooo!
They have a bargain day every Thursday but only sometimes with garden stuff. Today I got organic grow-bags at £1.29 some tomato feed, a couple of rose bushes and a load of bulbs.
Now, where shall I put it all??
