It had broken from the tomato plant stem due to the weight of fruit. Three and a half pounds of juicy toms on one truss ain't bad. The plant has two similar trusses which I've now tied up with strings from the greenhouse roof and a smaller one. I limited it to the four trusses when I saw the number of fruit it was setting as I didn't want the plant to exhaust itself.
I know some people have nightmares at the very thought of buying cheap seed but this is a Lidl special which I'd recommend to anyone.
