Permalink Reply by Fred Hogg on March 21, 2012 at 13:18 Good afternoon Colin, I've only got 10 first earlies in (fleece at the ready). Last year I put all the spuds in mid march and they copped a frost late May which put them back a few weeks. So I am being cautious this year, MY FARM is only 35 miles north of London, but set upon a hill top, from which, with a super dooper telescope you would be able to see Cambridge 25 miles distant, after that the fens and then the north sea. So MY FARM cops the North and North easterly winds. On another front The tobacco is supposed to only have indirect sunlight at this stage, yesterday pm. let it have a couple of hours sunshine, its all lying flat now.......update to follow...AND hills are called hills in this part of the country.

I sowed some broad beans, and planted some onions and the first early potatoes this morning.
