Gone to seed !!!
First break in the weather for days so off to the plot, Onions are going to seed, so are the shallots and the pak choi and the lettuce !!! broad beans and peas battered by the wind and rain !! We must be a totally mad bunch to keep persevereing against such odds!!! Oh well pull up the stuff and replant with something else !! Onward and upward !!

Not much different here. Been picking seed heads off the shallots today. Lifted some spuds to find them badly slug-eaten so scattered some pellets around all the containers. In a year like this I forget some of my principles and go for damage limitation!
However, not all bad news. Had a casserole for tea tonight with home-grown potatoes, onions, carrots and turnips.
