UK Veg Gardeners

A copy of the Garden Organic catalogue landed through the letterbox this morning and I must admit they have a very good selection of veggie seeds. I normally shy away from anything calling itself 'organic'  as the O word is usually an excuse to jack up the price but the seeds are very reasonable so I'll certainly be giving them a try. Mind you, some of the other stuff in the catalogue is a bit pricey, especially the composts which is as good a reason as any to make your own.

I got my copy today too.  If you'd told me  a year ago I'd be enjoying looking through seed catalogues I'd have laughed but I agree, it is a good catalogue.  I already got my Vallelado garlic which I'll be planting next weekend.
Got mine as well yesterday, haven't had time to look through yet, but I will do over the weekend.
I got mine too and a catalogue from Kings. Can't wait to sit down and work out what to grow. I agree about the compost who spends £13 on a bag of compost?
Garden Organic are often more expensive than other seed catalogues, but in my experience they give a lot more seeds than most of the big companies and their germination rates are great
We tend to use the Garden Organic catalogue to buy online, as well as from their shop at Ryton Organic Gardens (Warwickshire).  We like the way their online ordering system tells you what's in stock.  This isn't always the case with other suppliers (they break the bad news to you after your order has been placed).  I agree about the compost.  Every gardener should be making their own.
