Permalink Reply by Debbie on June 11, 2012 at 21:32 probably 2 plants, Elaine. I just removed the spuds and left the plants to grow on and have since had 2 more lots like that. Think there may be a few more left so I've been really pleased with the yield from the bag this year. There is a row on the allotment but traditionally they don't yield quite as well.
Yay, we had our first home grown spuds of the year tonight. It's probably illegal not to just boil them and slather them in butter, but I roasted them with chicken and chorizo and they were fabulous. Mmmmm.

Permalink Reply by Catherine on June 13, 2012 at 22:35 Can you get your hand down the inside of the container and rummage around first? Are there flowers on the stalks?
Permalink Reply by Debbie on June 17, 2012 at 20:57 mine never did flower, and hardly ever do, which is a shame as I love to see them all in a row flowering away prettily. The ones I have in short rows on my allotment are the same. 4 plants have flowered, the rest aren't bothering.
