Been eating new potatoes from the garden for a month now :)

Sadly all the greenhouse ones are finished so I tipped out a tub of Lady Christl grown outside today and got a meagre 350g. Another week or two for me to wait :(

awesome as usual Colin, and I have taken note of your experience with the tub of Lady Christl and stopped myself doing the same with mine. Oooooo but it's so tempting.

I have succumbed to temptation too, but only my tunnel spuds that the stalks were falling over everything else. Well....that's my excuse and I'm sticking to that..LOL!

Dug up on the 15th May ! Not bad!

We just can't wait and have more patience...LOL!

Mine aren't actually that long above the ground so I'm sure the spuds are nowhere near ready to lift yet.  I earthed them up a bit more yesterday.  I'm going to wait until the foliage starts to droop.

I couldn't wait a moment longer so here are my first Lady Christl this year. Well, what I mean is here is a pic of them coz there's none left!

They look delicious and I'm sure they were!!!

mmmmmm.....they look fabulous, I hope mine turn out as good as that, well done.

I bet they looked even more delicious with butter melting over them!

Drooling at the mouth here, looking at these, Debbie.......butter and salt is all you need with them ;)

I just eat them plain mmmmMMMMMmmmm

I noticed today that a couple of my first early Vales Emerald plants are dying back so I may well have a furtle at the weekend, by which time they'll have been in the ground over ten weeks.  I might also do the same with a couple of volunteer first earlies from last year.
