It took me forty minutes tonight to fleece over the potatoes and bring tender plants into the house from the greenhouse. The earliest planted spuds are well up now and I can't risk them with the frosts that are forecast over the next few nights. I've put a double layer of fleece over some of them which has meant that I've had to utilize old towels and a table cloth for some of the others. The garden looks a bit like an explosion in a laundry but i can live with that if it protects my babies!!

Permalink Reply by Colin Robinson on May 6, 2012 at 20:57 Oh, I never give up. It happens every year and I'm well used to a few black leaves here and there. I posted the pic to let others see what can happen if you don't take precautions.
