UK Veg Gardeners

Hi all, just joined the site. Looking forward to swapping hints and tips and discussing my trials and tribulations in the garden! I'm a newish gardener, muddling along, but loving it. Finally got round to ordering all my seeds for this year so can't wait for the weather to improve and to get started.

Welcome! You've come to the right place.

Hello, welcome and as Debbie says...!

Hi and welcome!!  Don't worry we are all waiting for the warmer weather to come!
Hi, I'm a newbie too! I had great fun flicking through seed catalogues deciding what to buy and drawing out plans of where to fit everything...but like you I'm getting impatient - I want to get planting! Doesn't help that I'm chained to the laptop today as I've got tons of school work to do (I'm a teacher) and the sky is blue and sunny...I want to be in the garden - there's a lot of weeds to pull up so that I can be ready to start planting!
Hi Helen, I'm a teacher too. I had hoped to spend this half term getting on with clearing and digging some manure into my veg beds ready for spring. No such luck!
Hi, welcome and hope you enjoy the site.  There's lots of friendly people on here willing to offer words of encouragement.  Best of luck!

Hi, I'm new as well. :)

I'm just looking for unusual seeds, and I've already got a few like perilla and lemongrass. I need to pull up weeds as well, any ideas on how to pull up creeping buttercups on the lawn?

Edward hello, and welcome! Regarding the creeping buttercups this webpage may be of use -

Thank you! I'll just find a day to clear all the creeping buttercup runners on the lawn.
You're welcome, and good luck!
